The Rule of St. Benedict for The Laity: FtJ 14

What St. Benedict & His Order Can Teach Today’s Laity By DEREK ROTTY Benedict himself was a layman: There is no evidence in the historical records that Benedict received the Sacrament of Holy Orders. A layman developed this lifestyle, and lay persons certainly can keep it and incorporate it into their days. Even lay personsContinueContinue reading “The Rule of St. Benedict for The Laity: FtJ 14”

The Church Suffering, Purgatory: FTJ 6

I recently read the book, Hungry Souls, and it was not just eye-opening, it was life-changing. It’s an easy read, and I now recommend it to anyone and everyone. The souls in Purgatory, also known as the Church Suffering, are yearning for our prayers. Though they are in Purgatory as a result of God’s mercy in a purification process in order to be with him in heaven eternally, they are truly suffering. Hungry Souls pools together revelations from souls from Purgatory reaching out to people in this life. It is truly fascinating and horrifying. The pain the souls are in is real, and we here in the Church Militant on Earth have it within our abilities to help them, to really help them, journey to heaven and leave the place of suffering.

Know Your Why

https://youtu.be/srnfcGOPW6w Y’all. Father Mike’s homily on this video… I can’t convey to you how powerful it is. He speaks of knowing your “why.” Why are we Catholic? Why do we believe what we believe? Why do we practice out our faith in specific ways? He doesn’t answer every single one of those questions (that wouldContinueContinue reading “Know Your Why”
